July 8 - Queen City Quartet

A delightful afternoon of classical and baroque chamber music by Haydn, Bach and Vivaldi performed by Moshe Shulman, Jonathan Golove and more.

 

July 15 - Buffalo Gamelan Club: Performance & Workshop

Buffalo Gamelan Club – Sari Raras Irama performs traditional Javanese music with instruments from Surakarta, Indonesia. The program will showcase traditional gamelan songs that are inspired by nature and its beauty.

 

July 22 Johannes Lindstead “Guitar on Fire”

A Spanish guitar program by the award-winning Canadian guitarist and instrumentalist,  Johannes Lindstead, who fuses virtuoso Spanish-style guitar with Afro-Cuban, Middle Eastern, and Latin American percussion and instrumentation.

 

July 29 - Ubudis Trio

Guitarist Omar Tamez, cellist Johnathan Golove, and percussionist John Bacon perform jazz compositions drawn from a repertoire that inlucdes Monk's "Ugly Beauty," Mingus's "Weird Nightmare," and Steve Lacey's "3 Haiku," along with original compositions by the group's members. 

 

August 12 - UB Percussion Ensemble 

UB Percussion Ensemble performs a concert featuring found sound.

 

August 19 - Buffalo Tango Orchestra

 

August 26- Null Point, Percussion Garden program culmination

Re-creation of PLACE, part 10, by David Dunn for instruments and found environmental materials with a talk celebrating the release of Null Point’s guest edited issue of Sound American on the music of David Dunn. Performed by Null Point artists.
