Metropolis/Black Rain artist Panic Lift released their debut Witness To Our Collapse, and has neither been silent nor stagnant since. Instead, Panic Lift has been slowly establishing themselves through engaging live performances, appearing on numerous high profile compilations, and recording a follow-up album.

Panic Lift then released Is This Goodbye? on Metropolis Records. The album expanded the band’s sound fusing their style of hard industrial with elements of synth-pop, dance, and rock. “Is This Goodbye?” was fueled by the singles “Temptress” and “Transient” both of which garnered attention from numerous clubs and podcasts worldwide.

Critically, the album soared with Grave Concerns Webzine calling Is This Goodbye? “Pure Musical Brilliance” while Side Line Magazine praised the album for “Mixing opposite musical ideas into a coherent, original and fascinating work” Re-gen Magazine embraced Panic Lift’s evolved sound and called the album “a must own for electro and synth-pop fans.”

On stage, James is accompanied by live drummer Ben Tourkantonis and Dan Platt on keyboards/bass. The band toured relentlessly including sets at the legendary Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, Germany, Triton Festival, Terminus Festival, and back to back years at Montreal’s Kinetik Festival. The band has also toured the US extensively with acts such as Aesthetic Perfection.

Nashville's FIRES creates a compelling mix of American industrial, pop, & dark electronic with more than a touch of Synthwave.
