Stargroves: http://www.stargroves.com/
Stargroves is an eclectic mix of NYC based musicians, founded by lead singer and songwriter Teddy Watson. Influenced by bands such as Freelance Whales, Stars, and Sigur Rós, the members of Stargroves play a variety of intriguing instruments, accounting for the originality of their sound. At the beginning of 2012, Teddy retreated to Iceland for three months to focus on writing music in solitude, without the distractions of NYC. Upon returning to the States, Teddy formed Stargroves and teamed up with producer Jeremy Sklarsky (Freelance Whales' "Weathervanes") to record during the summer. The result is a collection of unique, melodic, original songs sure to delight music lovers.
Sweet Apollo: http://sweetapollomusic.com/
Sweet Apollo was created in October of 2011 by Jong Lee, and William LaShomb. Dominic Scaduto and Joe Bennett joined shortly later on drums and bass respectively. From 2011-2013 Sweet Apollo released two singles: Tourist and Lions. They also released an EP, "Live", and an album, "In Good Company." After releasing their debut album, Sweet Apollo went on hiatus for musical recreation. They intend to return to the stage November 23,2013 with a new sound incorporating more electric and upbeat elements.
Darling Harbor: https://www.facebook.com/darlingharborband
Indie Rock/Alternative from Buffalo, NY.
Members: Ben Uytiepo, Dan Ottaviano, Jeremy Jewula, Mariah Douglas
Yesterday Vs. Tomorrow: https://www.facebook.com/YesterdayVs.Tomorrow
Roll down the windows and mindlessly sing along, throw some headphones on and dance while you vacuum. Those small things in life are part of its beauty, after all. & I say that yeah, we’re those weird people that talk about that Jesus guy and say that it’s good to follow Him, but it’s more than that. Yesterday Vs. Tomorrow exists to tell you that you are loved. We care about every punk kid, local music fan, and friend of ours that is reading this and listening to us, or choosing not to listen to us. Because love is even bigger than life, and those preachers on tv and picketers saying that God hates homosexuals, or that God hates anyone at all are wrong. And we’re here to tell you that that impostor of a god they’re selling isn’t real. The real God is love, and He put you here, not once, but every morning you wake up, for a purpose. You matter. No matter what anyone says. You’re still here, aren’t you?
Satellite Nation: https://www.facebook.com/satellitenation
While the name Satellite Nation has been in use for about 3 years, the band's most consistent lineup was formed completely by accident on October 1st 2011; Vincent Lema on Guitar/Vocals, and Justin Sheffield on Drums. Satellite Nation is simply a band made up of two guys that play as loud as they can and keep things groovy. Satellite likes to keep things simple and loud, and most importantly, have fun doing all of that. Come see this band live sometime, you won't be disappointed! Update: Xander Meldrum now joins us on bass!
Improbable Cause: https://www.facebook.com/ImprobablyCauseMusic
Alternative band from Buffalo, NY
Members: Kristen Young-Lead Vocals, James Burns-Drums, Aidan Krombach-Bass, Keyboard, Dominic Hannon-Guitar
