Indie Pop from Columbus, OH. Sometimes people ask me why I loop everything live when I perform. "It would be a lot easier to use pre-recorded drum patterns," they'll say, or, "Why don't you just sequence everything and play over top of the backing tracks?" The short answer is, that would be cheating. The long answer goes something like this: Going to see a show should be about what happens that day, in that room, between that audience and that performer. It shouldn't be a carbon copy of the same performance from the night before. How I slept, what I ate, the conversations I had, the articles I read: all of those things affect my brain chemistry and how I'm going to interact with the songs that day. Making art is an incredible opportunity to synthesize and reinterpret our unique lived experiences and reintroduce them to the world as shared dreams of sound and light. If I used canned backing tracks I'd be robbing myself of that opportunity. I want the freedom to make mistakes. Mistakes are far more human and interesting than mechanized accuracy. Be suspicious of anyone who wants to scrub art of its imperfections. As soon as art becomes perfect, it dies.

Pop-Folk from St.Clairsville, Ohio. Down They Fall started out as the solo project of Gage Vota in the summer of 2011. It started out as just a side project but turned out to be his main and only focus. It turned into a two piece band in the winter of 2013 and then had a line up change at the end of that summer. It is now Gage and his good friend James Becca.
False Accusations: https://www.facebook.com/FalseAccusations
False Accusations is an experimental rock band from several states in the USA including Illinois, Ohio, and Wisconsin. They formed on August 12, 2011, with intentions of being a two person acoustic group, featuring James Becca (guitar/vocals) and David Wallace (vocals). A day after forming, they added Kyle O'Connell to the band to perform percussion. After writing several songs and brainstorming ideas, the band decided to self-record, self-mix, and self-produce their first EP, 'Rooftops'. All three members recorded the EP from their separate homes. After James Becca finished the mixing process, they agreed on the final product and released it on March 14, 2012. After reaching 250 'Likes' on Facebook, the band announced that they would officially be adding a new member on the bass guitar named Katy Phillips.
