Music of Herbie Hancock “Speak Like A Child” and McCoy Tyner “Expansions”.
This concert is part of a special series, Jazz Impressions: Reflections of 1968, curated by composer and percussionist, John Bacon. Through this series, artists reflect on the social, political, historical, artistic, and musical aspects of one of the most tumultuous years in American History. For this concert, we will explore the music of 1968 through the lens of legendary jazz pianists, Herbie Hancock and McCoy Tyner.
