Mama Earth sings about composting, gardening, hiking, bird-watching, fossil hunting, and recycling! Susie presents sing along songs with guitar and banjo. This program fuses instruments from all over the world with “old time” Instruments from the kitchen (like washtubs) and “recycled crazy shakers.” Before you know it the audience will be hooting like great horned owls, chirping like chickadees, coyotes, and katydids while moving and grooving to African, Central, and South American world beats. Mama Earth invites students to put the music in their own hands by joining the Mama Earth Kitchen Band and helps to spread the message of respect towards all of Earth’ s creatures.
