The Elements and Principles of Design are the foundation used to create a work of art. The “Elements” are the building blocks that actually make up a painting. The “Principles” are the ways we use the Elements of Design to create a successful work of art. A background in these design foundations will help you create your best works of art. Deanna Weinholtz has a strong background in design and will pull the concepts together in this introductory class so you will have a working understanding to apply to your artwork. In order to maintain the safest environment possible, class will be offered via Zoom Meeting, a free online audio-visual platform.

All adult classes and workshops are recorded and are available for one week after the class. Therefore, if you miss the class, you will have one week to catch up on the class at your convenience. Review our class information and procedures for more information.
