Emergency Preparedness and CERT Training
Learn how to protect yourself, your family, your friends, and your neighbors during times of crisis and disaster!
Come join us for a FREE Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training program that educates citizens about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their community. CERT teaches basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
Learn in a classroom setting and practice skills necessary in an emergency. CERT members can help others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help by joining their local CERT group. Western New York has active teams in Elma, Cheektowaga, Grand Island, Lancaster and West Seneca.
*This class runs for 4 consecutive Saturdays
