Lauren Tarshis' I Survived series tells true stories about natural disasters and other catastrophic events and takes the reader into the heart of the event.  During our week-long I Survived summer camp, campers will learn about five epic disasters.  Learn about The Children's Blizzard of 1888 and compare snowfalls from Buffalo's most famous winter snowstorms.  Discover the "unsinkable" ship, The Titanic, and create your own iceberg science experiment.  Read about The Great Boston Molasses Flood and immerse yourself into life in the 1900s.  Revisit The Japanese Tsunami of 2011 and uncover how tsunamis are created.  Experience The Henryville Tornado of 2012 and create your own tornado in a bottle.
