Manifesto

Fascinated by the manifesto form? Learn about it. From the Communist Manifesto to the Surrealist Manifesto to the Feminist Manifesto, the manifesto has remained a powerful and pliable form of writing. Why has it been so compelling to artists as a means to both establish and undermine conventions? We will both develop our own manifestos and consider the public nature of the manifesto by thinking about issues such as its visual layout, its audience, and its circulation.
