Suminagashi: Tree Ring Workshop at the Botanical Gardens

Explore the quiet magic of Suminagashi, the ancient Japanese art of paper marbling. Transform flowing ink into striking tree-ring inspired designs. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to float ink on water, gently guide its movement, and layer circular patterns that echo the natural growth rings found in trees, to create completely unique prints. All materials are provided.
