Chef Krista will showcase a lovely dinner for two starting with Amuse-bouches—her selection of simple but creative appetizers that offer elegance and style to any meal or occasion. Beef Wellington in a port wine sauce will be the focus of the meal. Krista will demonstrate the techniques you will need to reproduce this complex dish at home. Field green salad with glazed walnuts, pomegranate and fig balsamic dressing will add a sweet lightness to the meal. The grand finale of our culinary experience will be chocolate mousse presented in a chocolate bag!
Chef Krista Van Wagner was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. Her love for cooking began at a very early age while helping her grandfather in his tavern, Curly’s. Having a wonderful restaurant experience inspired her to attend the Culinary Institute of America, the country’s top Cooking School. Upon graduation, she worked in a number of restaurants around the US, Europe, Jamaica and Grand Cayman.
