“The Winter of the Crow”
“At a time when most budget-conscious period pieces are undone by the glossiness of modern digital formats, “Winter of the Crow” feels like nothing less than a small miracle of evocation.” – David Ehrlich, IndieWire Screening 10/30-11/5!
Academy Award nominee and Tony Award Winner Lesley Manville stars in this acclaimed Cold War thriller from director Kasia Adamik. Manville plays a British professor visiting Poland in 1981, who is suddenly swept up in extraordinary and dangerous events at the onset of the country’s Martial Law era. The film is a thrilling and immersive cat-and-mouse game, inspired by the short story by Booker Prize and Nobel Prize winning author Olga Tokarczuk.
