The annual BOOKS FOR KIDS community donation drive emphasizes the importance of reading by providing every child with a book of their own to read. This year’s donation drive runs from April 1– 30, 2018.

The BOOKS FOR KIDS campaign, which started as a cooperative effort in 1995 between The Buffalo News, Project Flight and Buffalo State College, has successfully grown to include WGRZ-Channel 2, Wegmans, the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System and Townsquare Media. Project Flight, Inc. was founded by local educators and distinguished professors Dr. Geraldine Bard and Dr. Elizabeth Cappella of Buffalo State College.

Community donation locations for this year’s drive April 1 – 30 will be located at:

All Wegmans stores in Erie & Niagara counties

All 37 Buffalo & Erie County Public Libraries

All Dipson Theaters

All WNY Mattress Firm locations

All Raymour & Flanigan locations

The Buffalo News, corner of Washington and Scott Streets, Downtown Buffalo

Tom’s Restaurant, Sheridan Drive in Amherst
