ABOUT Crikwater
Crikwater Hailing from South Buffalo, the heart of the Western New York Irish Community, Crikwater formed in late summer 2010 to celebrate their Irish roots and collective love for Irish and Celtic Traditional music. In the last decade, with the rise in popularity of Celtic rock, the boys in Crikwater saw the need for young musicians to help keep traditional Irish music alive. Crikwater performs a variety of pub songs, ballads, sea shanties, rebel songs, and many other trad songs and tunes. They even manage to sneak in a few original songs written in the folk tradition. Though primarily focused on folk music from the Irish and Celtic traditions, Crikwater also incorporates songs from other traditions and genres, such as Rock, American and Canadian folk, and Eastern European traditional. ~ Crikwater
