The Old First Ward Community Association relies heavily on fundraising dollars to help us in our mission to deliver quality services to our community. We bring programming to our seniors and youth, including daily senior lunches, kids' cafe after-school lunch program, youth woodworking class, ongoing and special youth ceramics classes, youth athletics, after-school tutoring, Green Team (youth gardening program), and a very robust art curriculum for our youth.
All moneys raised by the Shamrock Run, and our other fundraisers, serves the ongoing needs of this agency in accordance with our commitment to deliver the aforementioned and new programs for the most vulnerable and needy among our community. In addition to senior and youth services, our agency works with the City of Buffalo, Erie County, and New York State to facilitate programs sponsored in part by the City Block Grant, the Erie County Food Bank, and the Department of Housing and Community Renewal, among several others.
We are dedicated to the needs of the Old First Ward and the Buffalo River Community. Please consider us for any additional donations, as our efforts to address the challenges of our community are ongoing and very necessary.
