Evangola Community Theater Presents: "A Rock's Story" by Davis Gordon Gilbert
Join Evangola Community Theater for the WNY Regional Premiere of "A Rock's Story" by Davis Gordon Gilbert! This two-act comedy features the 95% true story behind the Pet Rock, a joke that made a million dollars. Featuring Gary Dahl, the advertising genius behind the Pet Rock craze, this play follows the adventure of a crazy, ridiculous idea that started one of the biggest consumer fads of the 20th century!
A Rock's Story performs during three weekends in September in Updyke Hall at the First Congregational United Church of Christ (UCC), 132 North Main Street in the village of Angola. Starring Jordan Conrad as Gary Dahl, the cast of A Rock's Story includes Rachel Koniarczyk (Margie Dahl), Bella Watkins (Diane), Paul Perry (George), Chris Gannon (John), Karen Davidson (Lavonne Dahl) and Truman Partridge (Arnold Dahl). There are six performances running Sept. 11th (Friday), 12th (Saturday), 17th (Thursday), 18th (Friday), 25th (Friday) and 26th (Saturday), all shows at 7 PM with box office opening 30 minutes before the show.
