If you are contemplating a book project, the variety of options can be bewildering. Should you self-publish or go through a publishing company? There is much more to finishing your project than writing the book and getting it into print.

The Buffalo History Museum has offered a four-part workshop series on navigating the nonfiction publishing process called So You Want to Write a Book? On the final Saturday in February, find out whether to work with a publisher or to self-publish.

In Meet the Publishers:

You finished your book, now what?  Meet with local publishers and distributors and discuss book layout, marketing, and social media. Featured speakers are Marti Gorman of Buffalo Heritage Press, Brian Meyer of Western New York Wares, Cynthia Van Ness with the Buffalo History Museum and a self-publiched author, and Leslie Taylor, who will address book design issues.
