The Buffalo Rugby Club currently competes nationally with two sides, each competing in the Empire Geographical Union (EGU) which includes New York State and parts of Connecticut and New Jersey. Previously in the Midwest Division II (2000-2008, 2011) the upper side advanced to the national USA Rugby Sweet 16 tournament in eight of nine years including advancing to the Elite 8 in five of those years.

Buffalo were the Midwest Division II Champions in 2007 and 2011. From 2007 to 2011 the second side competed in New York State Conference advancing to the USA Rugby Sweet 16 in 2011.
